Alissa Anderegg has wanted
to be an actress and singer ever since she can
remember.
While Alissa was
growing up, she would always make up songs while she danced around
her room. When she was three, she started taking ballet classes at a
nearby dance studio. At age 5, Alissa attended her first play Annie and immediately knew she wanted to
act. Shortly after, she started vocal and acting lessons and added
tap and jazz dance to her weekly lessons.
Alissa started going to to
her lessons on a regular basis, singing songs like "Broadway Baby"
and "I Enjoy Being a Girl." After winning numerous awards for
her vocal talent, Alissa won the role of "Molly" in
Annie.

After Annie, Alissa's
career took off. She was signed by a talent agency in San Francisco
and was constantly performing in professional theatre, taking dance
lessons three times a week at a new studio, and going on auditions.
She was also working as a fit model for The Gap and Old Navy
and began competing in jazz and tap dance at her new studio S.S.
Dance Express which later was renamed Triple Threat Performing
Arts. At age 10,
Alissa worked in her first movie, Bee Season and played the
title role in various professional theatre companies.

At age 11, Alissa sang in
the movie, Little Miss Sunshine and received her Screen Actors Guild
card. Little Miss Sunshine was the top-selling film at the 2006
Sundance Film Festival. After her wonderful experience with
Sunshine, Alissa knew that she wanted to also work on camera.
Shortly after, Alissa started to take acting lessons with
Marnie Cooper in Studio City. In Summer 2005, Alissa
auditioned for the American Girls
Revue in the new
48,000 square foot store in Los Angeles. After many rounds of
callbacks, Alissa landed a role in the original cast as
Molly/Becky. With American Girl, she was also one of eight
Ambassadors, was cast in a second role in which she played
Katie/Kit/Kirsten, and in the American Girl Holiday show as
Susan, all the Los Angeles and West Coast premieres of each
show.

After Alissa won the role
in the Los Angeles musical, she started studying voice with Billy
Purnell and was booked with an LA agency. She has since been in many
more commercials, industrials, movies, and theatre shows including
starring in the Los Angeles premiere of Parade by Jason
Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry.
